Fort Buyaki Invitational 40K Grand Tournament
I'm pleased to announce the Fort Buyaki Invitational 40K Tournament to be held on October 8-9, 2011 held in Seacaucus, NJ. The FtBI is part of the 2011-2012 Games Workshop North American Tournament Circuit. All are welcome and invited to participate in this great event! And I expect to see many of you there!
This event will feature 5 games over the course of two days and will be held at the same site as the Warstore Weekend in cooperation with TheWarStore and TheWarStore Weekend. We expect to have at least 60 players and we are able to easily expand as player demand grows.
The FtBI features Swiss-style pairings based on game play results to crown our overall champion and we offer painting and sportsmanship awards that are scored independently from game play. We expect all players to conduct themselves in a polite and civil manner and we use a ranking system to recognize outstanding sporting individuals. The great feature of the sportsmanship ranking system is that all opponents must be ranked from best to least best which creates a clear delineation between players. More about my thoughts and ramblings on sportsmanship here.
Over the coming months, we'll be rolling out all kinds of information on this blog regarding this event, but in the meantime mark your calendars and work on your army now!

Cool, glad to see you stepping up to this kinda stuff as well as the Fort Buyakkkkahhh name stamped on a worthy event.
I expect the pre and post tournament speeches to be most epic.
good job doing this on the same weekend that the The Battle for Salvation Tournament guys have been doing there gt for the second year. Oh well great planning on the warstores part lol. 2 GTs same weekend in basically the same area.
Akers - More info on its way in the next few days.
Ack - I expect to see you since you are relocated so much closer to it now!
Clams - Direct your criticism to GW, they decide who is on the circuit or not. This weekend was best qualified for us. Hope you can attend and enjoy some great games!
Ill direct my criticism to the Tournament Organizer and not GW. Neal knew or "should have known" there was already a group in the tristate area who had already been using that weekend to host there GT. Apparently Neal has no intention of creating a good relationship with other area Associations running a big event. Its really a shame for the gamers that they will now have to decide to go to one or the other instead of being able to go to both.
Ill be going to BFS and not tWSW. Its to bad i cant attend both.
Hey jason, do you organise or play any tournaments in are the metro dc area? Or mabey we can meet and throw down a game.
Glenn
Woot! Way to go Buyaki!
Hey Jay!
I am pretty torn, having to choose between the Battle for Salvation GT and the Warstore Weekend event.
I had a great time at your GT last year. However, I think I am planning on attending the Battle for Salvation event. While attendance had nothing to do with your excellent work at the event, the Battle for Salvation GT had almost triple the number of players of the Warstore Weekend. That said, I plan on supporting the White Plains, NY Battle for Salvation crew this October.
I wish I could go to both!
