Sanguinary Guard Wings Assembly

I had the hardest time figuring out how to attach the wings to the Sanguinary Guard models.  The instructions provided by GW were worthless in trying to figure it out and since they are all digital diagrams, a reasonable person would expect that they'd show how it assembles. But the finer points of model construction are not GW's bag.

So, the wings contain a spot that fits into the round bubbles on the back side of the marine torso. Yeah, its complicated to describe, so check out the picture for a more accurate description.  The areas that are circled are glued together.  Hope that helps.

Good stuff jason, btw I realized earlier today that I bought the death company statue (fw) from you a while back off ebay.

No kidding? I had that model for a long, long time and thought that it was time to pass it on since I wasn't doing anything with it. It would make a great statue/relique terrain piece.

I agree on the terrain piece I am just slowly painting it as I used to have one when they first cam out and love them soo much. BTW new blog contest on my blog http://akersminis.blogspot.com/ check it out as it could be something you may want to do:).

Yes, I saw the contest on your website and couldn't post for some reason.... well mostly because all this blogging is new to me and I still haven't figured it all out.

I like that its very open-ended to artist interpretation and I'll most likely be participating in it. And I need more Sanguinary Guard models!

Are your guys going to have "Red Wings?" Kinda like in memoriam! Avenging sports teams has to be some sort of noble cause...I think... :P

I bought a Sanguinary Guard model to make my Chapter Master out of, and yes, putting the wings on was rather confusing.

Looking at it I'll have to assemble the wings and torso as a unit, then paint it, and then stick it to the legs.

Thanks.
